It was excellent that qualifying and races were available to watch on the Superbike World Championship website. Except now that website has been relaunched, and without any apparent way to watch the races. Rubbish!

It was Valencia at the weekend though, and I shall continue to monitor the Brits in the championship. A pair of 5th places keeps Leon Haslam on top, 5th overall in the championship. I’m still surprised that he’s not being beaten by one of the boys on a factory machine.

Like Tommy Sykes, who’s now 8th in the championship, after a 7th and a 10th in Valencia. His works Yamaha team-mate Ben Spies continues to impress, but it’s still Noriyuki Haga on the Ducati with a comfortable championship lead.

A retirement and a 13th don’t exactly help Johnny Rea, now 10th overall. He’s the top factory Honda, and indeed the second Honda in the championship after Haslam.

9th and 11th is consistent for Shane Byrne, but his pre-season form hasn’t followed through to race results. Which I fancied might be the case. Tommy Hill is still bottom of the Brit pack.

It’s better news in Supersport though: Cal Crutchlow was victorious in Valencia, and takes the championship lead, level on points with Kenan Sofuoglu.
